Kilkerran. Heavily Peated Single Malt. Batch No.5. 57.7% abv

This is the fifth batch of Kilkerran's Heavily Peated expression, which boasts a hefty helping of smoke at its core. This single malt Scotch whisky from the Campbeltown region was allowed to age in a combination of 85% bourbon casks and 15% sherry casks, before being bottled at a robust 57.7% ABV.

Nose -  Citrus on the nose with notes of lemon and lime, along with touches of toasted rye bread and peat smoke.

Palate - Notes of toasted marshmallows, campfire embers

Finish - The smokiness carries through to the finish, peppery and long.
